Help Animals affected by the Queensland Floods in Australia
You have probably seen or heard about the devastation caused by the recent flooding in Australia. The Queensland Floods are the largest seen for over a century and have caused major damage and destruction to thousands of homes, infrastructure and other property, not to mention those who have lost their lives or are still missing. As well as people and property, animals have also been seriously affected by the Queensland floods which also extend into the State of New South Wales to the south. Here in Australia, the RSPCA is co-ordinating assistance for those animals and owners in need of help. How can I help? We ask that you visit the
RSPCA website
and read about how you can help. The RSPCA is running a Queensland flood appeal to raise funds in order to help with the evacuation, care and feeding of affected animals. At this point in time the preferred type of donation is money, as this can then be used for whatever is most needed. While food and bedding will be required, the current conditions would make it extremely difficult and impractical, if not impossible, to deliver these to where they are most needed. We hope you are able to help, as even a small donation will go a long way to helping an animal in need.
